Airport ( Kunming Changshui International Airport):

    Location: Kunming Changshui International Airport lies nearby Changshui Village, Guandu District in the northeast of Kunming city and is 25 kilometers (about 15.5 miles) from the city center.

    Brief Intro: The airport was formally put into operation on June 28th, 2012. It replaced the former Wujiaba International Airport and serves as 'Gateway' to southwest China. The new airport services Southeast Asia, South Asia, West Asia, and connects with Europe, Asia, and Africa. It has a layout of about 22.97 square kilometers (8.87 square miles). It has 2 runways and is expected to meet the annual throughput of 38,000,000 passengers, cargo throughput of 950,000 tons, and 303,000 aircraft sorties in the near future. It provides flights to many cities in China and abroad. Some of the domestic cities are popular tourist sites like Lijiang, Jinghong, Beijing, Chengdu, Guilin, Lhasa, Shanghai, Sanya and Xian. The international destinations include Taoyuan, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Hanoi, Dacca, Phnom Penh, Osaka, Singapore, Calcutta, Rangoon, Mandalay, Vientiane and Bangkok.

2、Kunming South Railway Station: Kunming South Railway Station has been put into use on December 28th, 2016. South Train Station, covering an area of 77 acres (312,836 square meters), serves high speed trains running along Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway, Nanning-Kunming High Speed Railway, and Trans-Asia Railway, etc. The station is about 12 miles (20 km) from Yunnan Provincial Museum in the city center, 17 miles (28 km) from Kunming Railway Station, 25 miles (48 km) from Changshui International Airport and 50 miles (80 km) from Stone Forest.

An International Rail Hub in Southwest China

    Kunming South Train station is the largest railway station in Southwest China and is not only a vital station connecting Southwest China with other Chinese regions, but also an important rail traffic hub between China and Southeast Asia.
